Rooftop view

The idea of living in a little concrete box stacked on top of hundreds of other people is starting to grow on me.  Especially since I live two floors from the top of my building.  My wife took these beautiful roof top pictures last night.

  1. Wow! You can see a lot from your rooftop. All the lights in the streets and other buildings are mesmerizing! You can even see the roofs of other smaller buildings nearby. Like those small dome roofs. It must be pretty time-consuming to maintain that, since cleaning the system externals requires non-abrasive cleaning fluid and removing the entire dome without damaging the light diffuser.

  2. Yeah, it's really, really beautiful. The small domed roofs that you see are a bathhouse. You cant see it (because it's dark), but there is a garden surrounding the domes and ladders that run the base of the dome to the top (I assume they are for cleaning and upkeep). This is the first time I've ever lived in high rise, and it's pretty damn cool. I also have a really spectacular mountain view. I need to post some pics soon.

  3. I must admit that I have a fear of heights but with a view like that, I’m more than willing to face my fears just to have a glimpse of that wonderful view! By the way, your photos look so real! It’s as if I’m really up there on your roof staring at the night sky and enjoying the lights.

  4. I love lights! Views like these never fail to put a smile on my face. Like Keaton, I used to have a fear of heights, but I found a way to conquer it. Now, I am always on the rooftop enjoying such wonderful sights!

  5. I'm glad you guys like the pictures so much! I feel really lucky to have such an amazing view.

I actually have a fear of heights. When I first moved in I couldn't even bring myself to get too close to the window. I think living up high has helped me to conquer my fear a bit.
